PG Learn to Ride Ride to Survive Course Enrollment Policy 1. A release of Liability must be signed by all students which will be handed out on day one of the course. Students under the age of 19 must have a legal guardian sign on their behalf prior to the start of training.
2. You must have a valid BC class 6/8 learners permit prior to the start of training.
3. ALL COURSE FEES COLLECTED ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. However with enough notice you will be able to transfer to a later course date. In extreme circumstances a refund may be available.
4. All course fees are to be paid in full prior to the commencement of the course.
5. Please sign and date: the enrollment policy (this form). Bring this form with you to the first theory class.
6. The theory portion of this course is conducted in a classroom at 511 Tabor Blvd (basement of the Greek Orthodox Church) at the corner of 5th and Tabor. Unless otherwise advised the theory class starts at 6pm on both Thursday and Friday nights. You will be informed on the location of the parking lot training on the first night of the theory class.
7. If you pay by cheque (a $25.00 fee will be added to any NSF or Returned cheque)
8. No refund or credit will be given to any student who is late or misses scheduled instruction time.
9. All practical training is done on an easy to ride motorcycle provided by PG Learn to Ride.
. 10. If you fail your MST you will be able to retest after 1 hour of additional training on the same day. If a third test is required a time and date will be set for the retest. If the retest is performed while PG Learn to Ride is in the parking lot there will be no charge. If you require a specific time where an additional trip needs to be made to the parking lot a fee of $50 will be charged for instructor and bike use. 11. After you have passed the MSA keep in mind that all restrictions still remain on your learner’s license until you take the form we give you to your local licensing office and have a new learners permit issued to you. At that point the speed restriction and supervisory restrictions will be removed.
12. You are required to have with you at all times your Learners Permit and your BC Driver’s License when riding a school motorcycle.
13. It is the student’s responsibility to provide protective gear that must be worn while riding in the parking lot or while riding on the road with PG Learn To Ride. This gear includes at minimum a D.O.T Approved Helmet, Sturdy Boot (that covers the ankle), Protective Jacket and Gloves. PG Learn to Ride will supply a high visibility vest.
14. The course goes rain or shine so bring extra clothing for colder days and rain gear for rainy days.
Please note:
PG Learn to Ride can not guarantee anyone’s ability to ride a motorcycle, pass the MSA or Road Test, however your instructor will do everything he or she can to help you towards your goal. If the instructor feels that you might hurt yourself or someone else, your training will be stopped.
All instruction time must be used up by October 1st in the same year this policy is signed.
